My 1st Blog Assignment

Yay! My first blog, so the author of the play "A Doll's House" is a Norwegian play originally titled "Et dukkehjem" is a 1879 play written by Henrik Ibsen. Henrik Ibsen was born on March 20, 1828 in Skien, Nowrway. His writings went against Victorian values and were revolutionary. He had a depressing childhood losing his father, and also his mother to a depression and moved on to theathre. He assisted in the production of about 145 plays and later wrote controvaersial plays. He also married and had an average life until May 23, 1906 where he died to a series of strokes.
I think he entitled the play "A Doll's House" because it shows the average household, how women have "set" responsibilities. Like how the household is like a doll's house everything looks perfect but the women are tired of having set "woman responsibilities."
